Mechtild of Nassau : ウィキペディア英語版 | Mechtild of Nassau Mechtild of Nassau (before 1280 – 19 June 1323) was the youngest child of Adolf of Germany and his wife Imagina of Isenburg-Limburg. Mechtild is also known as ''Matilda of Nassau''. She was Duchess consort of Bavaria, by her marriage to Rudolf I, Duke of Bavaria. == Family == Mechtild's paternal grandparents were Walram II of Nassau and his wife Adelheid of Katzenelnbogen. Her maternal grandparents were Gerlach IV of Isenburg-Limburg and his wife Imagina of Blieskastel. Mechtild was the youngest of eight children, however only Mechtild and three other siblings lived to adulthood: Gerlach I of Nassau-Wiesbaden, Walram III of Nassau-Wiesbaden and Adelheid, Abbess of Klarenthal Abbey. Her great-grandmother, Matilda of Guelders, was a daughter of Otto I, Count of Guelders and Richardis of Bavaria. Richardis was daughter of Otto I of Wittelsbach, Duke of Bavaria and his wife Agnes of Loon.
